Tommy Lee Jones Japanese Commercial Part 1

Tommy Lee Jones recently did a bunch of commercials in Japan for Boss Coffee. They were without a doubt some of the better ads to come out of Japan. Over the next week or few I’ll post them…seeing as the series actually went for quite a while (actually there’s talk he’s coming back to Japan to continue filming for the series).

The basic story is that Tommy Lee Jones is an alien come to investigate Earth (sounds like the reverse of Men in Black…). As part of his investigation, he must learn to integrate into normal life, which means that he gets everyday jobs in Japan – delivery driver,construction worker and office worker, to name a few. Of course the outcome is often funny, as he gets things wrong or overcompensates.

Without further ado, we present to you Tommy Lee Jones in the Boss Coffee commercials. Part 1.

Dialogue Translation:

Young man: Did you know? Aliens seem to be surveying earth. I hear they have taken the shape of Tommy Lee Jones… *laugh*
Jones: The residents on this planet are slightly stupid. However, daybreak here is beautiful.
